FOCUS ON HIM

I was invited by my friend, for the celebration of her graduation. While we were there, my two other friends was inviting her to join them in Mt. Pulag, they were convincing her that she can do that even if it is mountain. During that conversation, she said that “Don’t focus on the pain, focus on the reward. When she said that, we just laugh at her although we know that it really makes sense. When I think about it, I don’t know why we laugh at her, is it because we were not used to hear that from her or we’re just trying to make fun of her. When I think about that statement, I remember HIM

In relation to HIM, I should say that Don’t focus on the pain but focus on the gift.

What is pain? Is it really necessary to feel and experience it? Pain is an unpleasant sensation occurring in varying degrees of severity as a consequence of injury, disease, or emotional disorder, Suffering or distress. (Online dictionary). It is brought about by different circumstances in our lives. It could be failing grades, heartbreak, broken relationships, financial crisis and so on… While we are in this world, there are so many challenges, battles that we have to face every day we wake up. We will experience pain and even a long time Christian is not an exception. But pain is just temporary, it will come to pass. When we focus on that pain every day, our lives will be just about dealing with pain because we don’t truly understand why we have to experience it. An example is during the time of Jesus, he experienced too much pain physically and emotionally. He endured all of it because he fully understood of why he had to go through it. For every wound that he got from the whipping, for every pain caused by the betrayal of the people until HIS crucifixion is for us to be saved. If he did not endure all those pain, we can’t have what we have right now.

As a Christian, there will be times that we wanted to give up, times wherein people will throw stones at us, people who will leave scars in our hearts but there is one thing that we should hold on to and that is, JESUS. Instead of focusing on the pain, focus on HIM. Focus on the promises of God in your lives. Don’t falter because of the pain you are experiencing right now. It may be really hard to endure but look on JESUS who endured everything for you to be saved

For whatever God had promised he will fulfilled. Endure the pain when you know that what you are doing is to honor and to please God in your lives.

Because one day ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” (Revelation 21:4)
